You can't say Elizabeth Ashley doesn't enjoy doing what she does best, acting. Not long after her current show, Dividing the Estate closes at the Booth in early January, the Tony Award winning Ashley will be diving into August: Osage County, taking over the role of Mattie Fae on February 3. The role is currently being played by Mollie Regan, who replaced Rondi Reed, now playing the part in London.
Ashley won her Tony for Take Her, She's Mine. Other Broadway roles include Barefoot in the Park and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, both earning her Tony noms. She also was in Agnes of God, Enchanted April and Suddenly Last Summer.
Tracy Letts' Pulitzer Prize-winning play stars Guy Boyd, John Cullum, Johanna Day, Scott Jaeck, Brian Kerwin, Madeleine Martin, Michael Milligan, Estelle Parsons, Dee Pelletier, Samantha Ross, Amy Warren and Frank Wood. It's directed by Anna D. Shapiro.
