Totally expected, A Tale of Two Cities will end its Broadway run on Sunday November 16. Jill Santoriello's musical adaptation of Charles Dickens' novel will have given 68 regular performances and 33 previews.

The show, directed and choreographed by Warren Carlyle, features James Barbour as Sydney Carton, Brandi Burkhardt as Lucie Manette Gregg Edelman as Alexander Manette, Aaron Lazar as Charles Darnay and Nick Wyman as John Barsad, among others.

The production's design team includes Tony Walton ( scenery), Richard Pilbrow ( lights), Carl Casella and Domonic Sack (sound), David Zinn (costumes), Edward B. Kessel ( orchestrations) and Kessel, Wendy Bobbitt Cavett, Kevin Stites and Bob Krogstad (arrangements).

Critics were less than kind to the show, though reviewer Andy Buck writing on theaternewsonline.com said that the show "boasted some truly wonderful singing."
