at the Imperial

Tracy Letts' August: Osage County, a production of the Steppenwolf Theatre Company, will start previews at the Imperial Theatre, October 30, with an opening set for November 20, for a 16-week limited run. The production is currently playing at Steppenwolf through August 26.

The play, which comes in over three hours long , is about a missing father and the reunion of the Weston family to their three- level house in rural Oklahoma. The director will be Anna D. Shapiro. And the cast, among others, includes Steppenwolf ensemble members Ian Barford, Francis Guinan, Mariann Mayberry, Amy Morton, Sally Murphy, Jeff Perry, and Rondi Reed.

As for Letts, he's also written The Man from Nebraska, Bug, and Killer Joe. Shapiro has directed The Man from Nebraska, The Pain and the Itch, and The Unmentionables.
