From Vanya on Broadway to Vanya off-Broadway: A new production by the Classic Stage Company, will open on February 12. The show is set to run from January 17-March 1. The director will be Austin Pendleton. The cast, previously announced, will include Maggie Gyllenhaal, Peter Sarsgaard and Denis O'Hare as Vanya. Scenic design will be by Santo Loquasto, costume design by Susy Benzinger, and lighting design by Jason Lyons. Gyllenhaal has appeared on stage in Tony Kushner's Homebody/Kabul. Sarsgaard recently was on Broadway in Chekhov's The Seagull. He also was in Burn This. O'Hare has been in numerous shows, including Take Me Out, where he notched a Tony and Drama Desk Award. He also appeared in Sweet Charity and Assassins.
