at the Hilton Theatre

The musical version of Young Frankenstein will open on Broadway at the Hilton on November 8. Previews are set to begin on October 11, according to today's New York Times.

The tuner, will have music by Mel Brooks, with a book by Mr. Brooks and Thomas Meehan. Susan Stroman will direct and handle the choreography. Sound familiar? The same creative team handled the same chores for the mega-successful The Producers. As with that endeavor, Brooks has taken an iconic film-his 1974 Young Frankenstein-and turned it into a Broadway musical.

Reprtedly, Roger Bart will play Dr. Frankenstein, Megan Mullally will be Elizabeth, Sutton Foster will play Inga, Shuler Hensley will be the Monster, and Christopher Fitzgerald will be Igor.

The design team is made up of Robin Wagner(sets), William Ivey Long( costumes) and Peter Kaczorowski( lighting design).
