In the Heights, which has won a multitude of awards, including the Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Off-Broadway Musical, the Lucille Lortel Award for Best Musical and the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Ensemble and Outstanding Choreography, will close at 37 Arts on July 15. It will be moving to Broadway during the 2007-2008 season. The exact time and place has not yet been determined.

The musical tells the tale of three generations living in Washington Heights and how they try to cope with life in all its strange manifestations. The show is directed by Thomas Kail, choreographed by Andy Blankenbuehler, and has music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda.
