Stockard Channing (Vera Simpson), Christian Hoff ( Joey Evans) and Martha Plimpton (Gladys Bumps) will stat in the Broadway revival of Pal Joey, presented by the Roundabout Theatre Company. The show will begin performances at Studio 54 on November 14, with an opening set for December 11. The show has music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Lorenz Hart and a new book by Richard Greenberg, based on the original by John O'Hara. Joe Mantello will handle the direction. Paul Gemignani will do the music direction, Graciela Daniele will do the choreography, Scott Pask the sets, William Ivey Long the costumes, Peggy Eisenhauer and Jules Fisher the lights, Tony Meola the sound and Don Sebesky the orchestrations.
Channing has won a Tony Award for her work in Joe Egg, and has picked up Tony noms for The House of Blue Leaves. The Lion in Winter, Six Degrees of Separation and Four Baboons&nbspAdoring the Sun. Hoff won a Tony for his work in Jersey Boys, where he played Tommy DeVito. He was also in The Who's Tommy. Plimpton is currently appearing in Top Girls at the Biltmore and last year was seen in The Coast of Utopia at Lincoln Center. . She received Tony nominations for both productions.
