at the Al Hirschfeld

Published January 9 2009

  Gavin Creel

It balances out-sort of. Gavin Creel will be joining the cast of the Broadway revival of Hair in the role of Claude, the producers announced. At the same time, it was announced that Eden Espinosa, who was to play Sheila, has left the production for "personal reasons."

Creel, a Tony-award nominee for the 2002 musical Thoroughly Modern Millie, will be assuming the role played by Jonathan Groff last summer at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park. The Broadway revival will open at the Al Hirschfeld on March 31.
