There once was an MGM movie called Saved, written by Brian Dannelly and Michael Urban. In Spring 2008, Playwrights Horizon will give us the world premiere musical Saved. It will be directed by Gary Griffin, who has The Color Purple to his credit.

The score of the new musical will be by Michael Friedman, who has done Gone Missing and Romeo and Juliet; the book will be turned out by Rinne Groff, whose work includes The Ruby Sunrise. No casting has been announced.
