  Anthony Rapp and Adam Pascal

Anthony Rapp and Adam Pascal, the original Rent stars, will be back in the show for six weeks, beginning July30 through September 9.

Rapp created the role of Mark, a documentary filmmaker. Pascal originated the role of Roger, a singer-songwriter. Pascal received a Tony nomination for Best Leading Actor in 1996. The show won four Tony Awards that year, including Best Musical. It also picked up the Pulitzer for Drama. Both actors also appeared in the film version of the musical.

Rent, written by Jonathan Larson and directed by Michael Greif, opened at the Nederlander Theatre, in April of 1996, after a sold out run at the New York Theatre Workshop. The show has racked up enough performances to make it the seventh longest running show in Broadway history.
