  Connor McPherson

It had a successful run at the National's Cottesloe Theatre last fall. Now, Connor McPherson's The Seafarer will land on Broadway October 17, with an official opening set for November 15. The play will be housed in a Shubert theatre, but which one is the question?

The creative team for the play includes Rae Smith( set and costume design), Neil Austin( lighting design) and Matthew Smethurst-Evans( sound design).

The play is set in Dublin, one Christmas Eve. The main character is Sharky, who has recently returned home to care for his older brother, who has recently lost his sight. With his old buddies on hand for a card game and the appearance of a stranger from long ago, Sharky finds himself playing for his immortal soul.
