As of closing, the show will have played 21 previews and 105 regular performances at the Walter Kerr Theatre. Dan Gordon's play tells the true story of Irena Gut Opdyke, a Polish citizen, who acted as head housekeeper for a German major, during the Nazi occupation of Poland. In a mini-version of Schindler's List, over a two-year period, she was able to hide 12 Jewish refuges in the basement of the major's home. Along with Feldshuh, the cast includes Sandi Carroll, Tracee Chimo, Steven Hauck, Scott Klavan, Peter Reznikoff, Thomas Ryan, Gene Silvers, John Stanisci and Maja Wampuszyc. The director is Michael Parva.
