TOO CLOSE TO THE SUN
at the Comedy Theatre

PAPA'S GOT A BRAND NEW BAG
By THE THEATERNEWSONLINE STAFF
Published May 27 2009

Well now they've gone and done it. Done what? Made a musical, Too Close to the Sun, that examines the last year, fictionally speaking, of Ernest Hemingway. It will start up at the Comedy Theatre on July 16. The opening is set for July 24. And the show is scheduled to run until September 5.

The tuner is based on a play by Ron Read. The music is by John Robinson, with lyrics by Roberto Trippini and Robinson, and a libretto by Trippini.  While the cast and director wait to be named, the orchestrations will be by Conor Mitchell.
