Christian Slater will be heading back to London's West End, where he will star in Michael Lesslie's world premiere stage adaptation of the film Swimming With Sharks. The play will have a four-month run at the Vaudeville (on the Strand), beginning October 5, with the opening set for October 15. The production will be directed by Wilson Milam design is by Dick Bird. Swimming With Sharks, is about, what else, a powerful Hollywood boss, Buddy Ackerman ( Slater), the brains behind a top studio's mega-grossing, extremely violent horror slate of films. In George Huang's cult 1994 film, Kevin Spacey played the part. Slater first appeared in the West End, in the recent production of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. On Broadway, he appeared in Side Man, Merlin, and The Glass Menagerie.
