Dancing in the Streets will take its last taps in the West End on July 14. The show, which extolls the musical legacy of the Motown record label, has played in the West End for two years. It opened at the Cambridge Theatre in July of 2005. It then had a short run at the Aldwych, before moving to the Playhouse in August of 2006. Once it leaves the Playhouse, it will embark on major national and international tours. The production consists of authentic recreations of the record label's gifted performers as well as its back catalogue. The show will visit Germany, Scandinavia, Turkey and India. Between the end of August and mid-November, its U.K. stops will include Wales, Eastbourne, Aberdeen, Birmingham, Glasgow, Swindon, Plymouth, York, Stoke-on-Trent, Manchester and Oxford, along the way.
